Sherry has worked closely with organizations such as the National Organization of Minority Architects, Federal Executive Institute, FXCollaborative, Perkins + Will and The Iron Yard to help them build a better tomorrow for their employees and constituents. She has developed and facilitated many training programs including diversity, inclusion, leadership development, unconscious bias and anti-harassment.
 

Previously she led diversity at the American Institute of Architects, a role where she worked very closely with volunteer leaders to drive progress towards more diversity in the architecture profession. Prior to that she was the Global Head of Diversity and Inclusion for Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: ARW) where she was responsible for expanding diversity recruitment, employee engagement and leadership training for over 12,000 employees. She has held Human Resource leadership roles with MSC Direct, Inc. (NYSE: MSM), John Kaldor Fabricmaker and the Society for Human Resource Management. 


Sherry has been honored by The Network Journal as one of the “25 Most Influential Black Women in Business” and National Association of African Americans in Human Resources Greater New York with a Leadership Award. She has been featured in publications such as The Network Journal, Newsday, Diversity Careers, Diversity Executive, Uptown Professional and Savoy Professional.

 

She regularly conducts leadership workshops and has been a featured speaker at conferences in the US, Austria, Great Britain, Hungary and Belgium.  Additionally, she has served on the Advisory Boards of Uptown Professional, PGA Glow Golf, American Lyric Theatre and Partnership with Children. She is a graduate of Hampton University School of Business.

Sherry Snipes is a dynamic leader who is passionate about the changing face of the world and changes facing the world. She has lead diversity and HR initiatives at public and non-profit organizations with responsibility for all aspects of programming including design, implementation and re-engineering. 


She founded Global Diversity Collaborative and the Diversity Academy Awards in 2014, which are committed creating a global network diversity champions and celebrating organizations and individuals making a difference by creating a more diverse and inclusive world.
